_food & drink: Finnish Cinnamon Rolls



material :

Half a teaspoon of white cardamom, dough

180ml milk, dough

300g high-gluten flour, dough

2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder, stuffing

15g butter with filling

Egg liquid 10g, Topping

15g granulated sugar with filling

4g dry yeast, dough

WaffleSuger a little, Topping

Almond slices a little, Topping


The recipe for Finnish cinnamon rolls :


1. Melt the butter in the microwave, heat the milk to 40 degrees, and just warm your hands. Weigh all ingredients.

2. Remove the skin of the white cardamom and chop the seeds inside, the more chopped the better.


3. Mix the eggs, yeast, white cardamom, and sugar with a whisk until it is thick, without making bubbles.



4. Pour the heated milk into the mixed 3 and stir evenly.


5. Pour the flour into 4 in several times, mix it into a dough, and then add butter several times to knead it into a stretched dough. The function of kneading dough with a bread machine is the best~


6. After forming a smooth dough, cover it with plastic wrap and leave it in a warm place to ferment for 1 hour until the dough is twice as large as before.



7. Take out the dough, press it flat to exhaust, and roll out a rectangular dough sheet.


8. Touch the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon powder in turn on the dough. Be careful not to touch the oil by leaving about 3cm on the top and bottom sides. Otherwise it's not easy to seal.



9. Roll up the dough piece by bit, and roll it tightly. And tighten the mouth.


10. Divide into 8 equal parts and cut into trapezoids.



11. Gently press down with your little finger to make the dough roll into shape as shown in the figure.



12. Cover with dry gauze and leave it in a warm place for a second fermentation for 20 minutes.



13. Take out the roll and brush the egg liquid, sprinkle a little waffle suger and almond slices.


14. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 15 minutes. Change the direction halfway to make the cinnamon rolls evenly colored. If the color is not too dark, you can adjust the temperature to 190 degrees and bake for 3-5 minutes. These depend on the temperament of each oven ~ some temperature is hot, 180 degrees and 15 minutes are enough.



Tips :

When eating, remember to cover with aluminum tin foil and eat it after heating it in a toaster~~ The cinnamon-flavored bread is delicious when it is hot!
